Hello all, I recently purchased this truck from the third owner. My grandfather purchased this truck new and drove it home from the factory. It originally had an NHE225, 4x4 married box, 4:63 ratio White corporate rear end on 22" rubber. Has a mix of tube and tubeless rubber on it now and a 855ci engine at 290hp. Aluminum cab, fiberglass fenders and the dual headlights from the factory. It was originally purchased as a single axle tractor. My dad and grandfather extended the frame and added an air ride tag axle. The second owners retired the truck in 1987 when the frame broke. The third owner returned the truck to the single axle configuration. Unfortunately, in the rear suspension shuffle, the truck lost it's front brakes. I'm currently looking for a set of backing plates and S-cams for an Autocar A75 front axle. If anyone knows of anything, please let me know. Thanks for looking, Matt

That's a great looking truck. It's extra special since your Grandad bought the truck new. Did you ever get a chance to ride in it when it was owned by the family?

Before my time. I was born in 1973. My grandfather sold this truck when he bought the 1973 KW that I also own.
Best regards,
Matt
