this could be yours as the highest bidder, coming soon at auction in Oklahoma.  It'll be interesting to see prices on some unusual old and classic cars.

Upon whose chassis is the Henney mounted? She does not appear to be a Packard. But that appears to be a Royce Rolls or Bentley parked next to her.

Slim, They used several different chassis manufacturers, but this one supposedly is Henney from the ground up.

I agree with Wolfcreek Steve.  A HENNEY built on their own assembled chassis.

And I agree with Steve, and everyone else who said Henney, which actually was everyone !. This is a 1928 Henney hearse. The John W. Henney Company of Freeport, Illinois built professional cars from 1921 to 1932, and used Continental 6 cylinder engines. In 1929 Lycoming straight 8 engines were used. Besides hearses and ambulances, Henney built a few luxury automobiles. One of Henney's last efforts was a luxury sedan in 1931, marketed to compete with Cord. After building their last vehicle in 1932, Henney continued to build custom bodies, using Packard chassis exclusively after 1938. Henney went out of business in 1954.  Bill White had this first. Our WAI Henney is part of the John Lewis collection which is going up for auction.
