dclerici,   The compressor is gear driven.  It is a base mount and does sit on a 45 degree mount that attaches to the oil pan.  The crank does pass through and has a chain gear to allow the chain to connect the compressor and injector pump together.  You can see the chain in the picture above.  Tony posted a lot of information that I've been looking through as time allows.  Anything you can provide will certainly be appreciated.  I probably won't get to work in it until spring now that the cold weather has arrived but I want to gather parts now and be ready.    Thanks,

Is yours flange mount gear drive, base mount belt drive, sealed on back end or thru drive for accessories? I can send pages that are visually close. It seems like most of the internals are common between the models. Block and head configuration are the major differences.

I'll take another look tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I wrote down the number correctly.    Thanks,

Well sorry but my book doesn’t even have your number in the numerical listing. Closest I get is 224727, 748, 754, 771.

I was finally able to get to look at the F-12 data plate and the number is 224741.

Thanks,

dclerici,  Thanks, for the help.  I will try to get the info off the data plate to narrow it down.  Hopefully this weekend.

Does it still have the bw tag? Is it any of these #’s- 224235, 224300, 224301,225315, 224252, 224253, 224254? There’s 9 design versions of the F12 but only 3 flange mount versions. F12’s are 12 cu ft. I’ve got a bw book with schematics and parts lists, just want to try and narrow it down.

I don't know what it is Dan but it looks a lot like the third PDF I posted and at least you can get an idea of how it works or may not work.

The line out of the top of the head goes to the governor valve.

Squirt some air in and out of that port to see if the unloader valvesand rocker move freely and check the valve lash.
