Don't know definitively the exact years of use, but I'm gonna guess mid-30s thru 1944.  Once we introduced the red ball logo in 1944 we offered that logo in brass plates, so must've been before that.

As always, its always been optional for an OEM to put a Cummins badge on their truck, so use of this and other badges is sporadic.

I agree it has to be somewhere  between the   oil engine and redball logo
but going off the truck pics john posted  I would say it could be  as early as  late 20,s???
what has me stumped is unlike  the other logo,s  it does not appear  in any literature , manuals ect of that era
or at least none I own or have ever seen
down here in the 60,s we did a lot of repowers at cummins
engines would arrive from  columbus or shotts in a crate
along with the engine was a operators manual and 2 cummins crosses  not many of those crosses made it onto
the hood of the truck , most went onto tool boxes!!!
and that's exactly were I found the emblem I have
on a toolbox at a yard sale in cal

I think I've seen ads from the 30's with that logo.

Anybody know what these hood emblems are ? I'm guessing an engine builder.
