Here is a very unusual truck. No emblems have been removed. This photo was posted to Facebook by Dustin Fernett.

This truck is a real head scratcher, but John Frances figured it out. This is a 1961 Pacific 4x4 snowplow. I am not certain if this truck is a one off custom job, or if more than one was built, but this truck is a perfect match for the truck in the factory image in our last photo. All of our photos were posted to Facebook by Dustin Fernett, except the last image is from the Bob Dingsdale Collection at Hank's Truck Pictures.

The Pacific Truck Club website says there were 4 built for the Province of British Columbia : 1957, 1960, 1961 and 1962. They had horiontal Cummins NHHT-6B engines and Allison automatic transmissions. One was converted to a Pratt & Whitney ST6A in 1965, article here. There was a WAI about these in 2015 here.

Wow,

I am absolutely shocked that this truck is still around, I had heard a rumour recently that one was being restored on the east coast but I thought it was all hearsay.

Very late to the party here but am hoping that we can somehow contact the person that posted the photos originally?

I forwarded this post to Pacific Truck Manufacturing, specifically Larry McNutt and was sent a few images which I can't seem to post at the moment, he too is absolutely shocked that the truck still exists. I do have in the archives the build sheets for the trucks, it would be spectacular to link up with the truck's owner so that we can pass on the information that we have, speak with them to hopefully convince them of a restoration...
