A friend has been teasing me he was going to either take his truck to the wrecking yard and scrap it or turn the cab into a golf cart or something.  Well with my Kenworth sold I couldn't let that happen.  Not to mention he made me a price offer that was pretty difficult to turn down.  So this coming Wednesday I am planning on going up to Seattle to buy this truck.
1986 Peterbilt 359.  Big Cam III 400 CPL 625.  15 speed.  Rears are newer low air leaf setup currently mounted real low but that may change when I get it and put it back to a more normal height.  Severe service cab.  I have collected pictures over the years.  Not too many good ones but a few.  When I get it and give it a bath I will get some better ones.

Kevin, when you get to it show me some up close pictures on that suspension. I have mounted, remounted and stretched several low leaf Petes. That is one of the finest there is.

I cried because I had no shoes till I met a man who had no class.

The current owner just uses the truck as a toy.  He just loves driving it to work on nice days.  Everyone seems to want that he tells me.  I can see the utility of it as it is hinged and folds up.  He has hauled all sorts of stuff home from home depot and such on it.  Who knows maybe I will be doing that with it as well.

Kevin, On the front driver it should measure 4 inches from the top of the U bolt to the stop it rest on when suspsnsion is dumped. You should around 1 1/2 inches of rake on the whole frame. At the correct ride height your pinion angles should be correct. With a fifth wheel mounted the frame won't look quite so low. Did they do a cut off or remount to the original frame.

The big singles ride rougher than duals same for the front. We always ran 385's on the steer for heavy haul and they definitely pound harder.
