Also join the Big Mack Trucks website so that you can contact Randy Yardomison of Hellertown PA. His user name is 1958 F.W.D. and an email or PM contact is in his profile. He owns a 1958 FWD fire truck and can help you with info and FWD parts support.

First place I'd look is on the right frame rail web just in front of the rear spring hanger for the steering axle

New to the forum and am looking at '57 FWD 1-1/2? Ton, dual rear wheels, air brakes, 8.25-20 tires old ranch truck.  How do I find the serial/VIN number?  I can not find an ID plate under the hood or in the door frames.  Is there a VIN somewhere on the frame?  Also new to the concept of working on old iron that is almost older than me. Any help for resources for parts on this size truck would also be helpful.  The engine has been upgraded and the vehicle moves but I suspect the front suspension will need attention - not certain yet about driveline issues. Thanks, Dan
