White it is, and I do believe this truck is a Model 59. This big crane truck is a circa 1929 model with a Bay City crane. Our photos were taken in 1945 at the Trinity, New Mexico test site. This is where the first atomic bomb was detonated that same year. Ivanov had this first. Thanks to Bongo Pete for the photos.

This rugged model 59 was 15 years old when it was chosen to build the bomb structures.  The contractor was Eichley from Pennsylvania, still in business.  I'd like more photos if anybody comes across more. I'd like to know if the White/Bay City was shipped from Pennsylvania or was it more local?  Thanks to Mr. Bongopete for making these available.

The heavy structure and the thick walled vessel was intended to contain the bomb blast, but was not used.  If I recall the vessel weighed 200 tons and shipped from Pennsylvania by rail.  The White/Bay City built the structure.

The full picture of the closeup is building the tower that held the bomb, although it might be an observation tower.  That's quite boom and jib, it looks like 80 feet?
