Got some pics. I may be able to get both fenders and grill off in 1 piece with 6 bolts. There is a frame that holds the fenders and grills from side to side together at the bottom and the emblem plate at the top. 2 bolts each for each fender then 2 under the center under the radiator is how it appears. If the weather isn't awful tomorrow I may see what I can expose but I need help to get it off which I will need to wait for.

I've got a 59 apart now that I took apart as a clip and then disassembled. What I remember was disassembling was a pain with big hands. What I don't remember was how the radiator played into it. But if I figured it out surely Kevin can.

I haven't done that vintage small or big Ford trucks but I have done clips on other vehicles. Pictures and a map of all the shim locations and their height will make reassembly so much better. Old factory picture for a different brand.

I will get some pictures. There isn't a "core support" like in a pickup. It appears to me you can pretty much unplug the lights and unbolt 8 bolts, and both fenders and the front grill on either side of the radiator comes off.. At least it appears so. the only thing that appears to cross over is the metal Ford emblem on the front. The inner and outer fenders don't bolt to the cab. There are these frame tubes that extend out and support all this on each side. I will try and get some pictures. I had hoped someone had worked on them in the past.

If it's anything like my '69 F100, then the two core support mounting bolts and then the three bolts at the hood hinge area that tie the inner fenders into the brackets bolted to the firewall, then the fender bolts at the cab(bottom and midway up) should enable that whole clip to be lifted off in one piece. You'll need to pull the headlight wiring back out as I don't think it plugs in at the firewall. Most early trucks were a one piece harness with a big rubber plug at the firewall one both sides(headlights on drivers, battery on pass side).
I know it's a bigger model, but I don't think much is different in the way it's mounted other then a few variations.

I want to take the least amount apart as possible just to gain maximum access to do the engine swap.

If you're going completely disassemble it there's a bunch of tough to get bolts in the front of the fenders. If you're removing it as a clip you'll have inner and outer fenders with the front panel and sheet metal. I'd take a good look at the front panel and make sure the radiator isn't attached

I could have sworn I had seen a picture of someone removing the entire front bodywork pretty much in 1 piece. Does anyone have a factory service manual that could shoot me pictures of any particulars of this? I am getting ready to do an engine swap in the next few months and being able to take it off in 1 or 2 pieces seems like it would be really helpful. Do I need to remove the Ford name plate or can it stay on? Looks like I unplug lights and electrical stuff and undo about 4 bolts underneath per side and either the whole front comes off leaving the radiator and shutters stay in place or in 2 (3) pieces with each side coming off separately.
