Ran the ring around a little more but didn't come up on my mark, now i notice the throw out bearing works its way toward the trans not the engine, so too much adjustment in the ring will put the bearing up against the trans cover which would be fine if it was set up for a clutch brake, so a little re adjustment and all seems to work.
Thanks for all the help.

I'll mark the ring where I'm at and turn it till my orginal mark comes up and see if I have much difference, just to have enough adjustment left for further down the road.

Aaron (12/19/2022) Messed with it today, turned the ring counter clock not quite a full turn the ran a clevis back up on the rod some to take up bearing slop it seemed to do the trick, I did not notice much movement of the bearing going closer to the plate, looks to be about 3/8, what do you think.
You are the mechanic on duty. Like other things, if you like it don’t play with it.

Not a problem hijack anytime, I still haven't got to this one the last couple days.

Had my own clutch glitch. Drove the 1930 White to town for the Christmas parade, was more difficult than usual shifting. At the last traffic light before the staging area I could not get it into gear. I started it in gear and got it to the staging area. Had to nix the parade. Back to the ranch to get the pickup and trailer, again started the White in gear, drove it on the trailer. Rather exciting as it was downhill on the trailer, which is only a foot longer than the White. Got it stopped in time luckily. Speaking of time, won't have any to investigate my problem for a while as I'm fully involved in two remodeling projects. When I get to that point I'll start another thread with my findings. In the meantime my apologies for highjacking this one.

If I have to put it I'll check the spline shaft again just to make sure but I pretty sure it was not worn nor bent, and I may go back with an organic disc, I had to play water truck yesterday and today so I haven't got back to it yet.

Also dont forget that a twist in the input shaft or worn splines on the shaft from a old clutch disc can cause a clutch to dray into gear or not release.I have seen a few input shaft that have been twisted and i think maybe all was behind cat engines.

When I was working at a commercial truck shop, all that was put in were "puck" clutches, only thing that goes in my stuff is organic. Never had a lining failure, and I pulled heavy. I had to special order them, Only changed at overhaul or if I had a cover failure (one time).
