Tom Albrecht's FleetThis is a featured page

Tom stopped by with a couple pictures of his latest projects, a BalMar 6000 and a 1969 Frod N-750 truck. Enjoy. Bill

Albrecht Farms has several BalMars, just like the 50 or so Ford tractors in various stages of restoration.

Not much info on the truck other than the year (1969) and model (N-750), and the fact that it has 20k miles on it!

This is the Albrecht Farm Marmon Harrington Ford- destined for a flatbed to haul some of the 40 or so of the Albrecht's Ford tractors around the county to shows

Here are a couple pictures of Tom's latest purchase. This is a 1971 Q Model Walter. He has been tracking this truck for 6 years and recently landed it. It was featured in the second Walter book, painted red (not yellow) and sporting a vee-box sander.

The truck has a 903 Cummins V-8. The dual rear stacks are rare on a Walter.

Here's the U model with the wrecker boom set in place

Data plate indicates 48 mph top speed which is about as fast as any of them went.

This truck is another retired PDH truck that spent it's carreer in Northwest Pa. It has the GMC V-6 Twin engine. I'll post an article about the engine soon. They are basically back to back 351 GM V'6's, dual distributor, dual carbs but a single cast block, single cam and crank. This will be a real crowd pleaser at shows some day.

Tom bought this former PDT snow blower chassis a couple years ago. It features a Waukesha gas in the truck and a 270 Cummins in the rear. I believe it has the special Walter 12 speed transmission, developed especially for snow blower trucks.

Tom bought this 1967 F-cab at an auction in New York about 2001. They used it for a dump truck around the farm for a bit but now have a lime spreader mounted. Note the 24 inch grader tires mounted for field use.

This Oshkosh was sold by a local township in 2005. Tom bought it and mounted the wrecker boom.

Here is Tom's Walter Junior set up for plowing around the farm which includes four homes!

Junior is sporting some fancy ATHS mudflaps covering the 12:00x24 tires/wheels!

My friend owns the twin to the twin to the orange U-model. They were both from Stewart Airport in Newburgh and were originally equipped with a 27 foot wide plow and a spreader and had downward exhaust. Tom's truck was then purchased by Frank Ciavattone who rebuilt it for a v-plow and double wings and replaced the downward exhaust with dual rear stacks. My friend's truck still has the airport plow but the spreader was removed and he recently installed a dump body. He painted his yellow and white and named it "Wilma Walter" and even made it it's own facebook. He was telling me that somehow they crashed the two trucks into each other back when the airport first bought them.
