Rotary Snowplow Auger AlignmentThis is a featured page

This may or may not be common knowledge but I thought I'd add a note about it for the good of the order. The augers on snowblowers should be set (or timed) for the most efficient operation. The photos below show examples of both good and not-so-good alignment. This problem most often would occur when the auger drive chain is removed for service or repair, or if a single auger is removed for straightening.

Most of my photos do show the correct timing of the augers. This example shows the three augers in a straight line. This most efficiently feeds the snow into the fan.
