I'm reactivating this old thread because I need your help. I'm currently planing to build an Oshkosh J truck in 1/87 scale. There are several Oshkosh J in 1/87 available, but I'm not happy with any of them. All got problems with their cabs. To build accurate cab I need the basic dimensions. Mainly the width at the back and the width at the front where the hood is starting. I would prefer the dimensions measured at a real truck and not from an sales sheet. If anybody with an M911 or any other Oshkosh that shares the same cab could help me, I would be very happy.

Does anyone know if the cab fitted to the cab over E series trucks was made by TCM-Truck Cab Manufacturers of Cincinnati?

Pierce made the prototype cabs for the E-Series and then Cincinnati took over for the production models for the E-Series.
