Daryl Gushee locating Linn # 1085
Linn # 1085 started out as a snow plow Linn for the town of Schroon N.Y. Located in the eastern Adirondack mountains I am sure this Linn saw plenty of snow.
The following photo`s were taken on May 7th 2005.
Look close you can still read Town of Schroon on the hood
I received a phone call from Bryce Winters asking if I was the Linn tractor collector from Maine. Bryce told me he had located part of a Linn in a site that once had a sawmill on it. I expressed my interest and Bryce said he would go to the spot and get it out of the woods for me. He thought the local owners would like it better if he acted alone rather than bring in someone from Maine. Bryce made a nice skid and mounted the Linn to it for the trip out of the woods and got it home where he started it up and ran it!
This is at Bryce`s house in New York near the Quebec border. That`s Bryce walking around the back. The Linn has the front half of the frame, engine, transmission, wrong radiator, dash, serial number plate, steering wheel, hood, and all the driver controls.
This Linn engine is a Waukesha 6AL52 and this baby runs great!

Bryce has a soft spot for old equipment. Look out back.

I would like to thank Bryce for his time and effort to seek me out and help me to save this Linn from any further deterioration. The Linn is now inside and maybe someday will help to restore one. Or it`s pretty cool just the way it is. PLOWMAN
