Just dragged this home from the Canadian border Sunday 6/23/13 with Ms. Piggy and the Big Ben wrecker unit. 480 mile round trip, ol' Ms. Piggy ran like a top despite the 92 degree humidity. (She ran better than I did in that heat...) I doubled up on safety chains on the rigging; didn't want to watch that back truck going the other direction, so I took the extra effort and used 2 chains on everything that normally would only see one.
Has a 3406 with a hole in the side from a rod, and a 9 speed. He had a "driver" (brrr hrrrr, clearing throat,) in it with 4:11's and a 9 speed direct, I'm sure it was twisting up against the governor all day long at 70 mph...hence the inspection hole in the block now.
I'll be selling the 9 speed which is fairly new recently, if anyones's interested. Or, trade for a 13 speed, but I can't see why anybody'd want to do that, lol. If nothing else, I can add a backhalf myself.
The poor guy that sold it to me just sunk a small fortune into this truck recently too...newer rears, transmission, odds and ends, some motor work. Unfortunately his mistake I think was he didn't have Cat pull the pan and roll rods and mains in, with the amount of miles it had...just had them fix a couple oil leaks to get legal to the tune of $4,500.00 about a month ago. Threw a rod in Binghamton, NY 3 weeks ago, towed it back up north and called me up to have me bring it home for a makeover.
The wife's wondering when this will stop....:Whistling:
Afterthought:
This double bunk 108" FL cabover can be bought right too, BTW...I have plenty of projects going on, so if someone was interested in this one, just PM me for some details. I wasn't planning on selling this, but after taking a hard look at what I am doing to myself around here...I should thin the herd a little.

"Wait till you see THIS one, honey...!"
