This truck was strong enough to haul an elephant, perhaps a major selling point back in the day. Names removed. Photo from Don MacKenzie.

Trucks, give me trucks!!! --- I'M LIKING TRUCKSWhen we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear---- all too often we miss the point!

I'm where I'm at when I'm all there! But,when I'm here, how can I be all there?

Drive moters look to small for a CT.

A Studebaker electric truck was used to transport 4 ton "Millie" to a vet.

Poor Millie, now everyone knows her weight ! This is a Studebaker Electric truck, said to be an ambulance, with perhaps the heaviest patient on record at the time. The caption with this photo reads "Studebaker Electric 1905 to 1912", but according to Mroz Studebaker began building 1/2 ton to 4 ton capacity trucks in late 1902. Gasoline powered Studebakers were introduced in 1904, with the last electric trucks built in 1912. The b&w photo is a circa 1908 model from Mike W. George Murphey had this 1st. Thanks to Don MacKenzie for the photo.
