It always amazes me how you all find these pictures ---- with the Spangler crowd dual engine

Trucks, give me trucks!!! --- I'M LIKING TRUCKSWhen we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear---- all too often we miss the point!

I'm where I'm at when I'm all there! But,when I'm here, how can I be all there?

Spangler Dual Drive it is. These unorthodox trucks were built by Hahn Motors from 1947 to 1949. With twin Ford V8 engines each driving their own transmission and 2 speed rear end, these trucks used many Ford components and could be serviced at Ford dealers. Another unique feature was manually controlled dual ratio steering for city or highway driving. More details on these trucks can be found in the November 1947 Commercial Car Journal article below. Mike W had this 1st.

I was late to this particular party but in looking around yesterday, I found this which may be an advert for exactly this vehicle.
