Looks good, Jeff.  If you get a chance, could you measure that big block White please?  Back of block/head to fan.

Were you able to clean up the front brake shoes and drums?  Are your leaf spring pins and bronze bushings ok?

Bruce, back of the head to front of the fan is 45 inches. Add 6-1/2 inches to the bellhousing mount which is the actual rear of the block.

I pulled the front brakes off the WB28 and the parts truck. I have front brake parts laying all over the garage but haven't done anything with any of them yet.

Today was the day. After dealing with ignition and carburetor issues the last few days the big White 280A finally roared to life on the stand. It's running quite well and that flathead six has a nice bark to it. Here is a video and some photos.

Great job Jeff! I can't get over how meticulous you are even with painting the test stand.

Thanks Tony. I always though it would be cool to have a stand I could run an engine on. I painted it so it would look halfway decent.
