Here is a rather plain looking fire truck. Emblems removed.

AHRENS FOX for me too --
Trucks, give me trucks!!! --- I'M LIKING TRUCKSWhen we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear---- all too often we miss the point!
I'm where I'm at when I'm all there! But,when I'm here, how can I be all there?

As I said, this truck is rather plain looking imho, but add a chrome-domed piston pump ahead of the radiator and you would have a real classic. This truck is a 1928 Ahrens-Fox fire pumper. Not all A-H fire apparatus had the classic front mounted piston pump, as this model illustrates. Still, this is a great truck. Our second photo is a more classic looking 1928 model. Mike W had this 1st.
