I bought this truck, Mar.15, 2009. 1972 KW W925, 240"wb, 350 380hp Cummins small cam, RTO12513, torsion bar, SQHD 4.63, 353,000mi. Was a lowboy truck, previously owned by Earl Cassaza, then George Capurro (cousins). It was their own personal truck, only one other driver, so it was taken care of, and lower miles. Below are links to the 'as found' pics, as well as the links to the restoral/upgrades, by year. As found 3/15/2009 http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk30/kidnv/Mine/the%2072/As%20found%202009/changes in 2009 http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk30/kidnv/Mine/the%2072/restoration/changes%202009/changes in 2010 http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk30/kidnv/Mine/the%2072/restoration/changes%202010/changes in 2011 http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk30/kidnv/Mine/the%2072/restoration/changes%202011/changes in 2012 http://s276.photobucket.com/albums/kk30/kidnv/Mine/the%2072/restoration/changes%202012/

Kid, Looks great! The torsion bars looked pretty shot when you got it, what did you do about parts for those? Sorry if I missed the photos on that.
Cheers, David

FJ, not too much problem, as I bought it fro the son. He knew most of it, and I had a couple friends in the club, that knew the previous owners.
David, the bars just looked bad from all the old dried crud, but they are good and tight, but a couple outer seals are cracked thru. They keep the majority of the grease in, so they'll be ok for a little while until I get brave and tear it apart enough to get them on. Only 300k+ on them and were full of grease when I got it, so not abused.
Thanks for the flowers guys.. still got stuff to finish, most of it minor. Still need the cab doors and corner panels that match the sleeper though, and dont fell like 1700$ for new, may make em, or find some.. I did find some once, but Robby wouldnt leave his truck long enough...

Robby and Kid, I need the plastic trim piece for one sleeper vent if any body knows of one. It is that beige color they used. don't know if they came in any other color. Wayne

Wayne, a couple years ago, I saw them on ebay off n on. Now that I need em, cant find em. I need 4 good ones myself. I havent tried KW, but they probly want a fortune cause they know they break. I was thinkin of forming some from plex or something, although light steel might be best due to the strain on them from the interior panels. Mine are black. I'm kinda surprised no aftermarket outfit every caught onto the need for replacement ones, as they all cracked apart sooner or later.
Since my Walmart door greeter job got taken at the new store here, maybe I should look into making replacements, and get rich..?..
