This fire truck was huge for it's time. Emblem removed. Photo from Sven Bengston. It is probably older than the caption makes it appear.

Looks like it came from the old school of hard KNOX--

Trucks, give me trucks!!! --- I'M LIKING TRUCKSWhen we see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear---- all too often we miss the point!

I'm where I'm at when I'm all there! But,when I'm here, how can I be all there?

The fortunate school of hard Knox wins. Our WAI fire truck is a Knox Number 9 Combination Pump, Hose, Chemical, and Flying Squadron apparatus from as early as 1912 (even though the photo is dated 1919). George had this 1st. Thanks to Sven Bengston for the photo, and Warren Richardson for the 1912 Knox spec sheet.
