Brocky (6/11/2022) Jim, THanks!! That is a sharp truck.. M-H front end????
Hey Brocky! MH front end. I was feeling lazy and didn't look under to be 1000% sure. The MH front hubs and the hood emblems were good enough for me on that day!

Thanks for the information. There was a cluster of manufacturing plants down by the river in Poughkeepsie. DeLaval had their rubber plant to make milking machine parts in that area. The word was that they used a Lane car modified to haul trash to the dump. From what I remember it was a truck with the Lane running gear. That was about 75 or more years ago. Parts were scarce during the war.

Norm W (6/3/2022) There used to be a "Lane" auto/truck manufacturer located in Poughkeepsie, NY. Is this truck part of that company? They also manufactured steam cars.
I am not aware of any connection of this particular Ford truck to the Lane Motor Vehicle Co. Arthur Eldridge from Peterborough, NH owned the Ford truck and the Lane steam car it had transported to VT. A Google search will show half a dozen articles about Arthur Eldridge and the Lane No. O. Here is an brief note printed about the car in 2000. https://www.autoweek.com/news/a2128241/1901-lane-light-steam-runabout-not-all-steamers-are-stanleys/Also, http://www.virtualsteamcarmuseum.org/makers/lane_motor_vehicle_company.html

This handsome rig had just delivered a 1901 Lane steamer from Peterborough, NH to Woodstock, VT. The Kodak Instamatic picture of the steam car did not develop. 1979 or so.
