John Frances saves us again, this truck is a Seitz from 1909. As mentioned, Seitz trucks were built in Detroit from 1908 to 1913, in 3/4, 2,3,& 5 ton sizes, by the Seitz Automobile and Transmission Company. Seitz advertised that it's double friction transmission could be used as a brake by throwing the truck in reverse. Thanks to Dan Souday for the photo and article from the January 1909 issue of Motor Age.
