I'm thinking an oddball I-H also but maybe an L series.

It is the IH Compfovision cab narrowed down to a centered one man cab with entrance / exit thru the roof for hauling long pipe, steel beams, or electric poles out onto the re-enforced  diamond plate front fenders.
The one pictured is the only one I have ever seen confiqured as a tractor with a 5th wheel!!!
ALL others have been long wheelbase straight trucks..

Everyone has IH all tied up, but others used that cab also. Maybe FWD built a one off with a 5th wheel for some unknown reason.

Hmmm, I think Brocky may have seen this truck in person, perhaps just a week or so ago ? Brian Kelly and the rest of you are right, this truck is a 1959 International R-190 with a custom steel hauler cab. This may indeed be the only narrow cab tractor in existence, as during restoration it was shortened from a much longer straight chassis. I think the reason was to make people ask questions, or maybe it just required less storage space. This truck is on display at Stew Paquette's Historical Farmall Museum in Leesburg, Florida.

I really doubt if this is the only one around. It may be the only restored like this. I grew up in Chicago where a lot of steel was used and these were pretty common. It was probably a factory option. Bet there are a few around somewhere.
