Here is a lineup any milkman would love. Many emblems removed.

154 views, three replies, and not a single THANK YOU ! Last night I inadvertently left a gift that some of you saw. I forgot to remove the caption from this photo which clearly identified this lineup of Dairy Distributors milk trucks as Internationals ! I must have been exhausted after removing all those emblems ! Hamish had this first. Our photo is from the Milwaukee Public Library Collection.

Thank you Jeff for running the WAI? 365 days per year. I and I am sure so many others appreciate your efforts. When I was younger I learned so much about trucks from the late Bill Richardson of the Bill Richardson Truck Museum in Invercargill, New Zealand. Bill was the kind of guy, when he spoke you listened. If you didn't quite get what he was telling you first time, you asked him again and about the third time it stuck in your head. Bill has been gone ten years now and he is missed by so many people. For the first few years after Bill's death there were very few people I could share my interest in early American trucks with, but since I discovered the old ATHS site and then this site I find I am constantly improving my knowledge about American trucks from Jeff and the WAI? and other guys that post on this site-Bill White, John Frances, Warren Richardson and many others. There are plenty of truck enthusiasts in New Zealand, but  to most of them the 1970s are the old days and very few now have much interest in pre World War II trucks. Bill Richardson certainly wasn't a computer guy, but I am sure he would have enjoyed the WAI? Jeff, I honestly didn't notice the caption on the picture, I just thought the milk trucks looked like early 1930s A or B series Inters.

I took a quick look, had no real idea, so did not go to the attachment to blow it up where you could have read the printing on the picture..
And to echo what Bill White has said: A Big Thank You !!  Also a thank you to Mrs Jeff for putting up with you having to get on the computer to answer and post a WAI each and every evening..including holidays!!

Just for the record, I wasn't fishing for a thank you ! I was making a joke about the caption giving it away. But thanks for the comments, and thanks from Mrs. L as well !

Jeff
