Kevin,
I found some info on the DS460P. It looks like they are 46k rated. I don`t know what design level means.
D = forward tandem axle
S = single reduction
46 = GAWR X 1000
0 = design level
P = standard

They are DS460P's with 5.29 gearing. On Hendrickson walking beam on spring. They are not high miles. Can someone speculate values?

We know what the ratios are, just would like to know the overall model of axle these are and their rating.

All ID #s should be stamped on top of the differential cast iron case on Eatons . On Rockwells it's on a vertical surface near the oil fill hole .

Kevin, I think there are tags on the carrier itself that might have info. The tag shown in the photo I think is just the housing model.

Dallas has e-mailed me some pictures of the rears under his 86 Peterbilt. I have been unable to find the specs or further info. They are big Eatons. They are marked R46A. I have found a little bit of info but I don't know ratings or real specs. Mounted on Hendrickson Spring. My recommendation would be to replace it with a lighter cut-off on Pete air and taller gearing. I believe there must be a market for rears that are pretty heavy like this. I assume they are 46k rears based on the number but I honestly don't know for sure.
