OK, I'm going with the 12513 that is getting EVERYTHING but gears and shafts put in it and any of those that are needed if any and the 3:58 rears. Going this weekend to get the cut off with the 3:58s

OK thanks Geoff, I can live with the 12513 and the 3:58. If I stay with 11 24.5s it will keep me in the wheel house. Just have had some options come up on the rears so just trying to figure. My 78 cabover Shaker, the brown one had a 12513 with 3:70 on tall rubber and it did fine. I mean for 3000 miles a year I can get by with 4:44s LOL. I hope to take this one to Salem next spring that's why I was trying to get the RPMs down.

The little cabover I am driving now has 3.70's on 11R 22.5 rubber and an RTO11613A and I like it. Geared to run at hiway speed in top gear and still pull in one down if the pulling is hard.
I really think to get the numbers where you want, that 12513 isn't going to do it. Yeah that price is right, but the ratio is wrong. Even 3.42's would put you in the high 14's at 60, you need 3.06's or something to get in the low 13's at 60 and then startability may be a problem.

I would hazard a guess about 11 to 1200 and that would be direct, maybe 11'th, 58's are pretty tall.

Hey Geoff,
Lets try this one. 12513, 3:58 rears and 11 22.5 tire size. What would that put me at running 62 and say 65.

Joe, I want to be able to cruise along at 60-62 at around 13-1400 RPMS. I'm changing from 11 24 tires and going to 11 22s. I can cruise at the lower RPM and if I hit a small grade I can just split it back and stay in the torque range of this 3406. That, and if I need too, we can just step out and go. My last two working road trucks we geared for 116 MPH. A nice Trooper in western Oklahoma was kind enough to give me a piece of paper which stated that my 84 KW in fact would run 106 with a load of Jack Daniels on headed for Amarillo. I didn't think it would pull out that fast. I'm just glad that Missouri at the time did not accept tickets from other states and National Carriers told me to get their overnight (they paid the ticket). They told me later that they knew I had a fast truck, but had know idea I also held a pilots license LOL.

Re: that Okla script that you got:  thanks for the effort.  We really needed that Jack Daniels here in the Texas/New Mexico panhandles.  And about the transmission, sell that girley 13 speed to Bruno or somebody and go find a 5 and 4 set of boxes. A truck with one stick may as well be an automatic.
