Here below is a Facebook link to the video of our Reiland & Bree truck being loaded onto a truck after the body was put back together. The continental engine is not working and missing a few pieces. We are readying it for display very soon. We are grateful to have this truck that was built just a few block from our Museum in Northbrook, IL as part of our collection. It was donated to us by Jay Lorenz who purchased it in the mid-1980s from the Rustic Man Fence Company on Waukegan Road in nearby Glenview.

Does anyone know of another complete R&B truck or have additional information they would be willing to share with us. We know that Northbrook had a R&B fire truck as did nearby Glencoe, IL. Winnetka, IL had a fleet of R&B trucks and the Lutter Brick Company in Glenview had one, too.

I'm not aware of any surviving Reiland and Bree trucks besides yours. However it is amazing what still turns up tucked away in a shed or someplace, so there is always some hope. I have a couple of Reiland and Bree photos that we ran years ago in the What Am I which I'll post, but I imagine you have already seen them.
