How'd your racing adventure go?

We are just muddling along and spending money. Having lots of fun and it keeps me occupied and out of the easy chair. These young folks are good for me and I am getting faith in the younger generations. I don't know how long I will be able to do this but I am going to enjoy it as long as possible.

What sort of car are you racing? Dirt or pavement?

John, We are running dirt late model. I have a 2023 Rocket with D3 Ford making a little over 900 at the fly wheel. Same stuff the world of outlaw guys run but I am not gonna go on the road and play that game. 1 or 2 nights a week are enough for us.

Nice! 900 horse under the right foot could be very addictive! The WOO schedule is great for fans but it is a fully immersive lifestyle for the competitors.

More pavement in my neighborhood than dirt. Dirt action isn't too far away with Bear Ridge and Devil's Bowl in Vermont and Lebanon Valley in NY. All about 2-2.5 hours away.

John, We are plentiful with dirt tracks here in the midwest. Brandon Sheppard has been WOO champ 4 times. He is my cousin and lives about 20 minutes from me. I watch him travel and there is no way I want to do that. I lived on the road for 49 years in a truck. Been there done that.
