I've got the 34 Ford in the shop with a broken front spring shackle, I have a new spare one to put in it but this is the second one that has broke, are these the same size as cars and 1 tons or are they bigger, the shaft measures at ,555

The '30-'34BB front hanger is the same as the 28-33BB rear hanger. It is also the same as the rear hanger on 28-31 passenger and commercial 1 ton.

How come you keep braking the hanger?

Eddy! If you, we don't want these pictures in with the truck photos I guess we'll need a new forum for this type of discussion.

I think when hauling the front end bounces too much is when it breaks, I chain to the front axle lightly just to show there is tie downs there and tie the rear axles

Instead of tying the axle down I tie the frame down and it takes all the bounce out of the springs.

Now the truck, axle and trailer move as a unit.

Here is what is there for a shackle, this is the spare that I have, it breaks at that little cross bar, it doesn't look like what you posted.

This is the same thing with 2 grease fittings and 2 nuts. It's a forging.

              Aaron,
This AA rear spring shackle should fit your BB front spring.
Poorly mounted leaf springs can affect your car's ride quality, as well as safety and handling. Our modern style front and rear shackle kits are made exclusively for MAC's, and will allow you to properly mount your leaf springs. The modern grease fittings will make it easier to ensure proper lubrication after installation.
